What is PEMF Cellular Exercise?

Pulse Electromagnetic Field is a therapy that uses electromagnetic fields to reach deep into your body and exercises you at the cellular level. When PEMF therapy penetrates your body it causes your cells to expand and contract. So what does this mean? Well, this is similar to what happens when you work out at the gym… just like your muscles, your cells need to be strong to be healthy. Weak cells are characterized by low cellular voltage. And just like the battery in your cell phone you do not want to be running on low battery power. Through this expansion and contraction of the cells, your cells are able to expel toxins and absorb nutrients efficiently and effectively. As the cells voltage increases and they grow stronger they are able to heal, grow, and reproduce successfully. Strong cells create more strong cells.

What are some benefits of PEMF Cellular Exercise?

The PEMF technology started with Nikola Tesla’s alternating current in the 1800s. Approximately 70 years ago, Dr. Harold Saxton Burr, PhD. proved that disease was preceded by a quantifiable imbalance in our electrical charge. In the late 1970s the FDA approved PEMF for stimulating bone growth. In the late 1980s the FDA approved PEMF for reducing post operative edema and pain. In the early 2000s PEMF is used in adjust to cervical fusion surgery. In the late 2000s the FDA approved PEMF for use with depression patients who were shown to be unresponsive to medication. No we operate in the realm of pleasant, not painful! You will feel a gentle pulsing or tapping and it often is so enjoyable that clients fall asleep.

Is PEMF safe?

Absolutely!  This therapy charges your cells and allows them to function at their fullest capacity.  Experiments conducted at Old Dominion University and supported by the U.S.Air Force Office of Scientific Research observed the effects of ultra-powerful pulses on living tissue. As an emerging field of study, Bioelectrics, reveal “these powerful, ultrashort voltage pulses do something nothing else can—harmlessly slip past the cell’s exterior to shock the vital structures within.”

The beauty of PEMF is that the sessions build on themselves and the effects are cumulative. What do you recommend I do post treatment?

Hydrate, re-mineralize and go about your day to day life. It is important to hydrate as your cells have expelled toxins and the detoxification process needs support through the use of humic/fulvic supplementation (recommended but not required) and a whole food diet.

How will I feel after my session?

Most people feel fantastic after their PEMF sessions… however some people do feel tired or achy after their first session. This may be an indication that many toxins were released from your cells during your session. Taking a remineralization supplement post treatment can help with this and the next visit you have to our Spa please let us know so that we can adjust accordingly.

Eating a clean, healthy diet that includes raw, fresh vegetables and fruits and being well hydrated are a great way to support any wellness program. We also recommend the humic/fulvic supplement before and after your session.
